Natural, Non-Invasive Care
Chiropractors practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling.
The vast majority of patients who seek chiropractic health care do so for complaints of the musculoskeletal system, most often for conditions affecting the spine such as back pain, neck pain and headaches. Research studies have demonstrated that chiropractic treatment is very effective for these conditions.
The Canadian Chiropractic Association and chiropractors from across Canada have developed the Fit in 15 Minutes program. It is a great way to start getting active without taking on more than you can handle both physically and with regards to time. This simple time investment can lead to greater amounts of activity making it fun while improving your health at the same time.

An adjustment is a highly skilled and precise movement applied by hand to a joint of the body. Adjustment loosens the joint to restore proper movement and optimize function. When a joint is adjusted, a gas bubble escapes causing the popping noise you may have heard about. Chiropractic adjustment has been researched extensively and found to be safe and effective in relieving pain and restoring normal function to the spine, joints and supporting structures of the body.
Various Soft Tissue Techniques
Whenever possible, Dr. LeMoel prefers to start treatment with a powered massager, followed by light massage with ice gel to relax the muscles so he can do the adjustment as gently as possible. Active soft tissue techniques can be used to help break down any adhesions or scar tissue that can form in tight or injured muscles over time. Myofascial trigger point therapy and resisted stretching techniques may also be used to help relax the muscles.

When walking, the average person takes 8,000 to 10,000 steps each and every day. When running, the pressure on your feet can be 3 to 4 times your body weight.
It is important to understand that your feet support you with each step and can have a direct impact on the rest of your body. A seemingly small change in foot function can have a large impact on joints higher up in the body, causing pain and discomfort.
Dr. LeMoel is dedicated to helping you gain control of your health by directly dealing with many of these foot problems that may be causing you discomfort.
Therapeutic and Rehabilitative Exercises
Once you are on the road to recovery, individualized stretching and strengthening exercises are very important to help complete and maintain your recovery. Counselling on Ergonomic and Lifestyle Modifications
Developing the correct habits of the things you do every day is very important in maintaining a healthy back. Dr. LeMoel can advise you on the proper ways to lift, bend, sit, sleep, etc. so you don’t keep inadvertently straining your back. Ergonomic modifications like setting up your computer station correctly can be a great help with related neck and arm pain.
Pre/Post Natal Chiropractic Care
Pregnant women need to visit their chiropractor regularly, throughout and following pregnancy. As labour approaches, your body secretes a hormone which loosens ligaments and joints to help in the delivery process. But as you gain more weight and the curve in your low back increases, the spinal joints are easily strained and can lead to low back pain.
This is a great time to seek the benefits of natural, safe, and effective chiropractic care. Dr. LeMoel has specially designed adjusting tables for pregnant women so you can be treated comfortably no matter what stage of pregnancy you are in.
Occasionally, chiropractic adjustment is not the best possible treatment for the patient and it is more appropriate to use mobilization. Dr. LeMoel will slowly stretch out the tight joint, within the patient’s tolerance, to help get it moving again.
